Dignitaries & organizers gather for the grand reveal of the Nelly McClung mural commemorating the 100th anniversary of some Manitoba women’s right to vote. The mural was commissioned by the West End Biz & painted by local artist Mandy van Leeuwen.
The D’Arcy & Deacon Dragonboat team from this year’s races raised over $11,000, earning them the right to fly a bronze flag on their boat. Over their three years of participation, D’Arcy & Deacon has raised over $36,000 for the Cancercare Manitoba Foundation & the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Winnipeg.
